  Abstract:

Inequalities are a fact of life. Some people have higher salaries than others, some individuals succeed more than others, and some people are treated better than others. Sometimes people perceive these inequalities as acceptable, or even natural. But other times, these inequalities elicit strong responses and feelings. In this talk, I will be presenting evidence that how inequality is framed - as either one actor's advantage or another actor's disadvantage - affect individuals' experiences and responses to social and group inequality.
